For help and support with issues specific to Linux/Unix
Just wondering if it would be possible for someone to prepare a walkthrough guide to installing PMS on Ubuntu for those who aren't au fait in linux-speak. I've had a look at the "Howto" thread on this forum and it's jibberish. I'd really like to use PMS as it sound like exactly what I need - I've downloaded the file but frankly haven't a notion where to go from there.
Any help would be appreciated.

The howto thread on the first page is meant for more advanced users. So you shouldn't try to follow that.
Installing packages is something you need to be able to do on your Ubuntu. Aptitude is probably the best application for that.
You need packages for the following applications:
Then it should in theory only be to extract the file you downloaded into a directory and start the "PMS.sh" script.
