Hi people!

I'm using this program since a few days now and I have to say that is awesome! Works flawessly on my PS3, but I have some problems with my new TV Sony KDL-26EX320, the majority of the video files plays correctly, but there's some of them that didn't works.

EDIT: The files that didn't work are mov and mp4, all other extensions seems to works fine. It plays the file but on the TV only get a black screen and no sound!

I have created a custom .conf file following various posts on this forum, but I want to know if it can be better some way. This is my conf:

Code: Select all

# Refer to PS3.conf for help

Any suggestions?

Just FYI:

I used the script posted on the first page and it works perfectly with my KDL-32EX403, inc 1080p H264/AC3 content!

Hello everyone.

Since the series being discussed here can only handle jpeg images, I was wondering if the PMS would be able to transcode png files int jpeg.
I know ffmpeg is able to do this. Is there anyone that has been able to achieve some results?

Hello ;)
I've just installed PMS 1.40.0 and it don't find my BRAVIA KDL-EX5000, I don't understand why because it works very fine with a previous version (I don't remember what version it was).

PMS is running on mageia 10, for previous version I used windows and ubuntu ...

Can someone help me please ?

PMS has been working flawlessly for me on my PS3 and X360 but when I'm trying to play videos out of the PMS library on my Sony Bravia KDL-46EX724, I cant see or hear anything.
The TV shows the file as playing and PMS shows that its buffering the correct file but the TV screen is all black.
I've tried both a wired and wireless connection but nothing seems to work. I've also tried to play music only and that works fine. Streaming video from a Samsung Galaxy S2 works just fine.
Anyone able to help?

Hi all,

probably this is a stupid question: DLNA is working for me, but in video I see just mpeg files. All other files (AVI, MKV) are not shown at all in my Sony Bravia EX505.
This should be something that I have to setup somewhere in the PMS, but I don't know where.

Can someone advise?

Thanks,
Marco

Solved with this entry in PMS.conf (Windows):
Code: Select all
mencoder_decode = -vf softskip,expand=::::1:16\/9,dsize=4\/3

Question with this...

I put it in and HD files work fine on the Bravia now...but MKVs are all weird on the PS3 on the same network. Is anyone else running both BRavia and PS3 and notice this?? Is there a fix?

Hopeful bump.

I would really love to be able to watch 720p MKVs on both my Bravia and my PS3 without having to add/remove the above line of code. Is there a way of specifying it's for the Bravia renderer only?

Surely someone else is also having this problem?
