Question about this new version. I see it says it has initial support for iPhone/iPad. Is it supposed to transcode the video realtime like Air Video does so that I can use hardware decoding? I tried viewing it using AirPlayer on an iPhone 4, but it wouldn't let me use the "Quicktime plugin" to decode which I assume is the hardware decoding. It used the ffmpeg and the iPhone got super hot while playing.

just test r906 and transcoding doesn't work, Here's the debug log:

For me, r906 doesn't even manage to scan the directory; I get three simultaneous NullPointerExceptions:

Code: Select all

Since a NullPointerException at line DLNAMediaInfo.java (1079) shouldn't be happening, I'm guessing this has something to do with the code not being thread safe.

I’m regularly getting hickups and the following errors on the latest official build:

I think this comes from media.getDurationInSeconds(), probably one null check is missing, somewhere in the code path. I will fix it

r913 works but it does not autoload .srt files. i also noticed that ffmpeg 2011-09-25 causes "corrupted data" occur, but no issues with ffmpeg 2011-06-21 except it won't let more recent versions of mplayer to compile :?:
