PS3 Media Server 1.40.0 is released

Ok, that's clear. But I hope anybody has an idea about why PMS 1.40 still craps out on me on every single file I throw at it, while 1.30.1 doesn't.
I ran the generated mencoder command, and that seems to work fine:

Nope, it runs on my server, so I can't just reboot it. Also, I can't imagine what changes that might bring on linux to make it work.
My upgrade procedure:

- I close PMS through the init script I made
- I point my pms symlink to the new pms installation directory
- I start my PMS service again through the init script

I checked whether there weren't any old processes left behind.

But i have a question, ¿does exist a method to view hi10p (10bit) on pms?
I follow the anime releases, and the fansubs have started to use the 10bit method.
Currently, that types of releases work in pms, but they have a lot of pixels problems and it have like a pink color.

I have a problem on my ps3 playing a mkv with subtitles on mencoder. The movie starts well but after a few minutes becomes unstable, with cuts in the scenes. Trying to fix it, I saw that the problem is in the subtitles, if disabled, the movie works perfectly.

Any solution?

What I mean is that with the subtitles turned on, the movie does not play well. The bitarte bar fills up and the movie is choppy, jump scene, i don't know how to say, I am using google translator. Do u understand me?
