Ok, that's clear. :) But I hope anybody has an idea about why PMS 1.40 still craps out on me on every single file I throw at it, while 1.30.1 doesn't.
I ran the generated mencoder command, and that seems to work fine:
Code: Select all
mencoder -ss 0 -quiet "/mnt/media/Series/Family Guy/Season 10/10x01 - Lottery Fever.mkv" -quiet -quiet -oac copy -of mpeg -quiet -quiet -mpegopts format=mpeg2:muxrate=500000:vbuf_size=1194:abuf_size=64 -ovc lavc -channels 6 -lavdopts debug=0:threads=4 -lavcopts autoaspect=1:vcodec=mpeg2video:acodec=ac3:abitrate=640:threads=4:keyint=5:vqscale=1:vqmin=2:vrc_maxrate=60000:vrc_buf_size=7000 -quiet -quiet -subdelay 20000 -quiet -quiet -ofps 24000/1001 -quiet -quiet -lavdopts fast -mc 0 -noskip -af lavcresample=48000 -srate 48000 -o /tmp/ps3mediaserver/mencoder1317235700114

Nope, it runs on my server, so I can't just reboot it. Also, I can't imagine what changes that might bring on linux to make it work. :)
My upgrade procedure:

- I close PMS through the init script I made
- I point my pms symlink to the new pms installation directory
- I start my PMS service again through the init script

I checked whether there weren't any old processes left behind.

Thanks for all your work guys.

But i have a question, ¿does exist a method to view hi10p (10bit) on pms?
I follow the anime releases, and the fansubs have started to use the 10bit method.
Currently, that types of releases work in pms, but they have a lot of pixels problems and it have like a pink color.

bye.

I have a problem on my ps3 playing a mkv with subtitles on mencoder. The movie starts well but after a few minutes becomes unstable, with cuts in the scenes. Trying to fix it, I saw that the problem is in the subtitles, if disabled, the movie works perfectly.

Any solution?

What I mean is that with the subtitles turned on, the movie does not play well. The bitarte bar fills up and the movie is choppy, jump scene, i don't know how to say, I am using google translator. Do u understand me?
