In short: With external decoder and new PMS versions Cinavia files are supported!!!

Are you saying you have upgraded firmware and running latest PS3 and no cinavia issues? I find that hard to believe!! Honestly?

Upgraded firmware: yes.......PS3 Slim: yes........and nearly all of the Cinavia movies in the collection playing on my PS3 without the errors. The other couple with AAC audio streams get played on the 360.

I just tried watching The Other Guys with SB43 / latest firmware. I still have Cinavia issues. Is there something I'm missing here? Based on what you guys said, shouldn't it work?

- You have to enable this feature in PMS
- Your audio must be AC3 or DTS
- You need to transcode it (play it from #TRANSCODE# folder with MEncoder engine)

I assume by this you mean no longer force transcoding the video on Cinavia infected movies with AC3 audio streams.

NICE. Now if only the newer versions didn't have tsMuxer issues, then a full remux can take place with MKV files with either AC3 or DTS audio.
