Max BitRate via 10/100

Hi Guys,

Im running PS3 Media Server on my i7 PC and it's wired to my PS3 via a gigabit powerline (but its an old PS3 so its only 10/100)

Everything works great but I do have a couple of blu-ray rips where it struggles with certain scenes, the bitrate appears to be 80+ when I look on the PS3.
I just wondered what the max bitrate was for a 10/100 network and if I upgrade to a PS3 Slim (which has a 10/100/1000 card) then will these issues be solved?

All PS3's are gigabit. The stuttering is due to using a powerline network (inconsistent, actual is much lower than theoretical, etc). Check the FAQ for the "suttering" post.

Ah sorry, of course, for some reason I was thinking about the older units not being Wireless N and was also under the impression they were only 10/100 too, my mistake.

The strange thing is I end up with the same issue when hard wiring the ps3 straight into my gigabit router (without the powerlines)

Any ideas?

Its not only due to network, also PS3 decoder limit, buffer size, cpu process, I mean 20Mbps or 25Mbps is the DLNA normative limit.
