Latest Mac OS X beta build

Changing the heapsize from 1024MB to 2048MB in the info.plist file didn't raise the 50MB buffer limit. Any other ideas?

I've made some changes in r800 that will help.

pms-macosx-1.40.0-b2 does not work under Leopard. This may be a re-emergence of the build issues noted here:

I couldn't play some mkvs with 1.40b2. These were files that worked fine on 1.30.1

are you trying to play them with a separate .srt file?

if you are, I'm also seeing this. My solution was to use handbrake to embed the .srt on the .mkv

No, it didn't have a separate .srt file. It was a fan subbed anime, but the sub was hardcoded.

Same here, some MKV won't play with 1.40 it was good with 1.31.beta 1 (for PS3 and Sony Bravia).

Another problmen was that the option "Prevent OS from sleeping while streaming" don't work under Mac OS X Lion (I don't know for Snow Leopard)

With the latest beta (140.0) I can't seek in mkv files. They play fine but attempting to seek results in a "data corrupted" message.

Unfortunately I can't play *most* H.264 mkv 720p video files with this release. I have wired ethernet to both Mac (OS X Lion 8 core Mac Pro) and PS3 and get regular (every few seconds) when playing HD movies. Previous releases have sometimes paused, but this is much worse.
