actually, I thought of removing this option... I also have a few files who do not plays perfectly when this option is enabled...
maybe it's the mencoder demuxing, maybe not, I need to dig further :p

If you remove it doesn't that mean every AC3 track is going to be transcoded

And PE is now working when I tick the option. Well what I did was start with the option unticked, stop playback of the file, tick the option again and resume playback from where I left off. No jumping any more and I know its remuxing as it's playing back as AC3 448 Kbps, where as with the option unticked it plays as AC3 640 Kbps.

Just seems like it's a stability issue?

This might not be the topic to write this at but I do have a question, don't know if you guys have already though of this and deemed it impossible (thou most likely). I wonder if its possible to just transcode a part of the movie lets say the part where subtitles are so your not transcoding the whole picture but just the area where subtitles are. Is this in anyway possible ? can you somehow put in some parameters or something. I know that this might be a stupid question but after searching over the net I found nothing so might a swell ask.

seems like since i installed the latest version. There is more overscan, when i watch anime i'm seeing little of the subs being cut off that i didn't in previous versions.

FLAC 94/24(both 5.1 and 2.0) files are being played only at 48hz on my Denon receiver. No matter what settings i use, i cannot get 96hz displayed on the receiver. PS3 connected via HDMI and when playing Blu-Ray discs with 96/24 soundtrack, i always see 96hz. So the problem is definitely not in the receiver.
Any advice?

I would guess that the PS3 only supports 96Hz for BR/DVD discs, or just not for streamed media.

Exactly, they are playable from video folder, but only downgraded at 48hz.

That would be my guess as well, the question is why when i play 96/24 FLAC file, and when i press "select" button, PS3 info shows "LPCM 96hz". And when i press info on the receiver, it says 48hz.
