General Suggestions on setting up files on PC

I am currently using DVD Shrink to back-up DVD's as single VOB files.
I have these located in individual folders of the movie name.

When I use my PS3 with media server, there are a lot of clicks and directories to go through to find the movie.
This includes the "transcode" folder which I think I have to use.

Is there a better system?
Can I just have a list of movie names in my PS3 with thumbnails and no directory structure?

Use the PMS media library option.

If you already scanned your shared folders (magnifier button in Share Settings), on your PS3, scroll below your shared folders and you will see "#- Media Library -#".

All you videos (or audios) will be sorted in there, including a "All Videos" option.

what I've done is put all my movie files into one folder on my computer, then on PMS I've only added this folder. Then on the ps3 when you open PMS you only have to open this folder, and all your movies are there. If you want to go further, on the computer, you can add sub-folder, like 'Action' 'Comedy' 'Horror' etc. this will also show up on the ps3. Simple and easy to use.
