Install the mplayer-devel instead, it should work...

Found the solution: use gcc-4.2 instead of gcc (= llvm-gcc-4.2) to compile by using "configure --cc=/usr/bin/gcc-4.2".
This helps to compile FFmpeg, but still gives errors on compiling MPlayer.
Getting closer, though!

Whoops, forgot I manually tweaked the mplayer configure script to build it.
Committed the extra handiwork in r781.

By the way, I've made some new builds using it and latest versions from the internal tools repositories, links in the OP of my thread!

I could, but instead I committed the newest "mediainfo.dylib" that I downloaded from sourceforge.
The script builds "libmediainfo.a", but in practice PMS uses the file "osx/mediainfo.dylib" - which is not built by the script. :-/

Come to think of it, keeping the script in sync isn't a bad idea. Committed in r782. Thanks for the reminder!
