Appliction crash?

Hi,

I am usiing C2D 6420, 4GB RAM, 8800GTS, Windows Vista
the way i am connected to the ps3 is with a direct cable to the PC LAN card (i am planning to use it with a router soon, but for now I am with direct connection to the PC). (I am using the same monitor for PC and PS3)
I start the server share my media and use the default settings.
So when I start a movie on the ps3 it starts normally and all, but after a couple of seconds the movie stops and the PS3 Media Server disappears. There isn't a message for "not responding" or anything else.

What do you suggest to do?

reduce the transcoding buffer size (try 300 or 200 rather than 400)
