Ahh you see SHB is really smart so it tries and merge ANY PMS builds PMS.conf into its the new one. Smart ha ? Mybe I shoul add a real clean install option to allow you to install WITHOUT merging. This would have the drawback of forcing you to merge/move your cred file. But if your starting from scratch you would still need to edit that file (since it is empty).

okay, but if there was not a pms.conf file on my computer before the install then it would not merge anything, right? ...not being a smart ass ...just don't know

edit: all channels show up and all media is there to select, but if i select anything to play - no matter what channel - i receive the message "The data is corrupted."

SharkHunter - excellent build!, just installed SHB8 and everything went fine..my settings were kept, and all fine.

just 2 suggestions for next releases:
1-need to create the cookie dir with a cookie file in it (and cookie.path in PMS.conf). Otherwise, ppl need to create it manually, and if they don't they will get errors...with most channels
2-The installer still downloads the old ZattooTV.groovy. no need for that groovy anymore with the new version of the zattoo.ch

saleopardi, i have always wanted to know how to create a "dir" and and a path to it but, have been afraid to ask for fear of sounding stupid. does what you describe pertain to all dir and or files and their paths or just to this scenario? Could you please instruct me in layman's terms how to do this?

It seems that some people dosen't get any useable conf files form the latest SHB. If you experience problems use this as sample conf file to get it working.

Now finnaly I made an SHB9. This should hopefully fix the poor installer. There were one line of code that dissappered in the last version which made everybody who didn't have any old config end up without a config. Now the culprit has been found and he will be punished. Other news this time is thin. I didn't include saleopardis brilliant movie2k work this build since I simply had no time to verify it. Iwanted to fix this installer issue first. But you can of course download it yourself from download/file.php?id=1562

edit: the version of icefilms.ch is 0.28 while the current is 0.30 ...missing comma in PMS.conf file between channel.log and pmsencoder.log line 38: dbgpack = extras\\channels\\channel.log,pmsencoder.log ...didn't know if this would effect dbg.zip file

Yea the icefilms.ch was lost in transltion. 0.30 just fixes thumbs there.
As for PMS.conf issues I'll missed that will update later...

Just installed SHB9. The only engine that was enabled was MEncoder.
