Toggle "Web" folder on and off

Postby nashcity » Tue Mar 10, 2009 8:54 pm

Hi there,

Just a very minor request - the ability to choose whether you want the "Web" folder to be seen in the PS3 interface along with the other folders you are sharing.

Thanks!

Hello,

This is actually my first post, so let me start with WHAT A GREAT PIECE OF SOFTWARE, before I ask anything! So far PS3MS solved all my issues with the PS3 and I am loving it more and more!

Then, just as the TS asked, I also see two, not by me selected, folders. They are "WEB" and "VIDEO SETTINGS". I do not use them both and I am sure they are their for some reason, but I like to have my folder structure as clean as I can get it.

Now I am not a PC/Software die-hard and therefore I have know idea what you mean with "just delete or rename the WEB.conf file". Maybe stupid to ask, but

a) where do I find this file
b) is this also the solution to the "VIDEO SETTINGS" folder

Thank you so much!

a) It's in the PMS install directory. If you're on Windows, should be C:\Program Files\PS3 Media Server by default.
b) There's a setting in PMS to toggle it on/off under the Navigation/Share Settings tab.
I provide NO application support via PM or email, so please post your question to the forum per the Forum Rules.

a) Pretty logical reading your answer... *will hide in shame*
b) For real? Did not see it yet, but after point a I will first re-check that ;)

Thanks mate!

Hi, when upgrading to anything above 1.21.0, I lose the web-folder.
My method of upgrading is:
- unzip
- copy-paste the database-folder and WEB.conf file from 1.21.0 to the new install
- stop the old instance
- start the new instance

I'm running (X)Ubuntu / Linux

Plz help?

The location of WEB.conf has changed since 1.21.
Be sure to check the right places for PMS's files, in your case, find the right spot for your WEB.conf.
