Load time for larger movie folders

Hi there,

I'm not sure what I'm seeing is normal or not.

Unlike the last program I used to stream media to the PS3 (twonky), PMS seems to reload the contents of my movie library every time I re-start the PS3, instead of storing some sort of cache.

I have 2 movie folders consisting of approx 130 movies in each folder with corresponding cover art.

When I browse these folders on the PS3, it takes a long time to load the entire folder. It seems to load the first 10 movies, then the next next a few seconds later. Overall, it can take minutes to load up the entire folder. The files in this folder are a combination of m2ts and m4v files that need no transcoding. They range from 1-6 gb in size (most are under 3 gb)

Is it normal for it to take this long to load?

Thanks for any help you can provide. Great program!

yes, that's normal, but you can "cache" this.. just enable the media library (navigation settings). And there's no need to run a scan
