Xmantium - yes it might be a bit too much. If people are nice to me I might deliver a new remote for the PC (with search).

Sounds interesting, is this remote web based or built onto the PMS?

I would serious considered buy the full app if I could use it for a Linux build, I mainly run PMS on my Linux server
PMS Running on QNAP TS-639 Pro Linux Server, 1.2 DualCore Intel, 12TB RAID5 HDD

The remote is basically a PC (java based) version of the Andriod app. It can be used on any platform towards any build (as long as you add the remote ctrl feature and even without it works as a Upnp client).
I need to get time to fix it in to a nicer state. Feed me carrots and sugar and I'll speed things up :)

Hi SharkHunter,

Thanks for the build, any chance you could add support for LG tv's when playing MKV files with DTS soundtrack - Ive tried all sorts in the official build to try to get them working with sound, but am getting no joy.

The tv is recognised as a WD TV Live - which im not bothered about, its the lack of sound that is a pain ;-)

Cheers.

Hello,

I use Subjunk build but I thought I would give SharkHunter Build a try :)

And everytime I try and start SharkHunter Build I get he following error

"Could not create the Java Virtual Machine" and SharkHunter Build will not run.

Any ideas?

gate1975mlm - probably there is a memory problem. In your PMS folder you got a PMS.bat file. In it there is a line that looks like

"start javaw -Xmx768M -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8 -classpath update.jar;pms.jar net.pms.PMS"

the number after -Xmx is the memory you give your Java machine at startup. Change this to say 400M and try again. 768M has been the default for ages.
Try running via the bat file first one time before modifying it. I might by accident increased the default memory size of the exe file...

Do you run via the BAT file. You MUST start via it ie.double click on it..

Yes running it via Bat.file it opens fine.

Are you saying you can't run it the normal way by just clicking on the icon on the desktop?

The icon on the desktop runs a hardweird build with has a built in Xmx value that can only be modified by a new build. This is a trade off. If the value is to large then it won't start on some system. Setting it to low some streams will not play. I increased it in the exe since a lot of streams failed on 768M (for me) but then it doesn't start on some systems. What is the maximum it starts at for you? We can use that as the max.
