Half SBS or even Full SBS 3D content to XBox 360

Postby nate358 » Wed May 11, 2011 10:47 pm

This is my first post as you can see...

I've never used PS3 Media Server, but I'm in research mode and I can't seem to find anyone asking this question.

Can the Xbox 360 Stream Half or Full SBS 3D content to a 3D tv? I would think it could do at least Half SBS 3D with no problem since it 2 640 x 720 adjacent to eachother for a total 1280x720 resolution.

I just bought a Samsung PN51D490 720p Plasma and it'll be coming in the mail soon.

I've got an Xbox 360 and will be using it mostley as a Windows 7 Media Extender in my bedroom for the Plasma. I do not own a 3D Bluray player but, my HTPC has a Bluray ROM Drive in it. My HTPC is in a different room then the Plasma.

My network is 1000Mbps over wired Cat 6.

Anyone think it'll work on the XBOX 360 since it works on a PS3?

thats a good question I'd like to know also. I'm pretty sure xbox 360 won't do 1000mbps though, the most is 100

I don't think you need a gigabit network to stream 1080p content. That's why Half SBS 3d should work. Both images would be a total of 1280x720, which isn't even 1080p.

Half-SBS is actually 1920x1080, with each side being 960x1080, and yes it will work on a regular wired network.
Full-SBS, which is 3840x1080, isn't possible right now due to limitations out of our control.
