SharkHunter Build 43 (Update 12-04-29)

Postby SharkHunter » Tue Apr 26, 2011 3:03 pm

Since chocolateboy asked so nicely I've done a SharkHunter build (for Windows ONLY). It contains a installer and ALL cool programs and scripts needed (=perl,python,get_flash_videos,rtmpdump etc.) plus of course the coolest plugins around (=Channels,PMSEncoder etc.). This is the first try so I need beta testers now. Pls try it out and give feedback. There are bugs in there for sure.
This first version doesn't contain that much that I would like to have there. This is just a first shot to get some feedback from the world.

Also which plugins do you want to see in there?

Some notes:
1) Sopcast and PPLive are not fixed yet. You need to add those manually.

Reporting problems
When reporting issues with SharkHunter Build pls enclose the log files. To fetch all logs at once use the DbgPacker (bundled with the build) and upload the zipfile.
Look under the "General Configuration" tab and press the "Pack Debug Info" button.
Then upload the resulting "pms_dbg.zip" in an issue at the SHB issue tracker (https://code.google.com/p/sharkhunter-shb/issues/list) to reduce log spamming in this forum.

The build is found at
http://code.google.com/p/sharkhunter-shb/downloads/list

I have installed your build. it is really great! everything works out of the box!!
one suggestion. as you need the install dir to be in a path with no spaces, why don't you change the default dir to something like (C:\PS3MS)? many people might get confused, as the automatic install proposes the usual Program Files path.
Also, would it be possible to add VLC portable version? in this way, you can assure that everyone will use the correct version with correct settings.

finally...excellent work! This build helps people with less skill to have the more advanced features of PSM!

Uploaded SHB2 which includes updates of Channels -> 1.06 and also bundles curl. Python has been removed to save space.

This is brilliant, does your build include your Search and RemoteControl patch?
Also will we see a linux version?

Thanks for your hard work, your really taking PMS to the next level

Brilliant, out of curiosity what renderers are you testing PMS on?

Ive got the Sony Bravia 53NX508, PS3 and Xbox 360.I do prefer using PMS on the Bravia TV, no noisy fans from extremal renderers
Ive just installed SharkMote on my HTC HD2 running Android CyanogenMod7, looks very promising
I have a QNAP NAS, PMS is becoming very popular on installing on NAS servers storing TB's of media, most run Linux so i do hope there will be demand for it

Will your build/plugins ever be joint combined or joint collaboration with SubJunks official builds later?

I'm testing on my Bravia and on my "own" special client and from time to time on XBMC and PS3.

Sharkmote works best (only?) with Barvia...

What the plans are with this build I don't know, and if I don't know who knows :)? We'll see, stay tuned...

Looking forward in seeing SharkMote working, Bravia takes ages listing directories/files compared to other servers

Your probably aware of the MEncoder ratio issue with Bravia, Is there anyway of adding the fix permanently since you use Bravia too
Code: Select all
mencoder_decode = -vf softskip,expand=::::1:16\/9,dsize=4\/3
I always have to manually edit PMS.conf everytime i install a new beta

As suggested, I'm posting this followup in the SharkHunter Build thread....

I deleted my old PMS.conf file and reinstalled the SharkHunter build of PMS from scratch, this resolved my missing parameter issue in the PMS.conf file (thanks). However the video still indicates corruption... I looked in the logs, and found the cmd.exe call that failed

This command failed with a status code of 1:
2011-04-30 09:29:46 [INFO|ProcessManager|handleDownloadWindows|New I/O server worker #2-8]: command: [cmd.exe, /C, extras\bin\curl.exe, -s, -S, --cookie, extras\cookies, --location-trusted, --output, -, http://www29.megaupload.com/files/c84b6 ... 720p.1.avi, |, win32\mencoder.exe, -msglevel, all=2, -quiet, -prefer-ipv4, -oac, lavc, -of, lavf, -lavfopts, format=dvd, -ovc, lavc, -lavcopts, vcodec=mpeg2video:vbitrate=4096:threads=8:acodec=ac3:abitrate=128, -ofps, 25, -cache, 16384, -vf, harddup, -mc, 0.1, -channels, 6, -sub, "D:\PS3MS\extras\channels\data\The Hangover.srt", -subcp, "ISO-8859-10", -subfont-text-scale, "2", -subfont-blur, "1", -subpos, "90", -o, \\.\pipe\pmsencoder_transcoder_out_1304170186243_71, -]

If I run this command manually like this:
D:\PS3MS>extras\bin\curl.exe -s -S --cookie extras\cookies --location-trusted --output - http://www29.megaupload.com/files/c84b6 ... 54fe1/crud os.720p.1.avi | win32\mencoder.exe -msglevel all=2 -quiet -prefer-ipv4 -oac lavc -of lavf -lavfopts format=dvd -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg2video:vbitrate=4096:threads=8:acodec=ac3:abitrate=128 -ofps 25 -cache 16384 -vf harddup -mc 0.1 -channels 6 -sub "D:\PS3MS\extras\channels\data\The Hangover.srt" -subcp "ISO-8859-10" -subfont-text-scale "2" -subfont-blur "1" -subpos "90" -o \\.\pipe\pmsencoder_transcoder_out_1304170186243_71 -

EDIT: Missed that the command params were delimited by ","... fixed that, now the manual result is:
