Re: PMS SubJunk Build SB20 (Updated 26/03/2011)

With the latest B20 I'm having a problem with the subtitles, the last subtitle gets stuck and doesn't go away until a new sub is displayed. Thus, on periods were the movie has no dialogue, you still get to see the last subtitle.

Anyone seen this before?

Try enabling the ASS/SSA Subtitles option in the MEncoder section of the Transcoding Settings tab

I've seen that before, I can't remember how I solved it, try making sure you have Avisynth 257 installed as having any other version can cause nightmares when it comes to subs.

I've been following these updates for quite some time now, but a HUGE issue has followed me all the way:

When I play xvid/divx content, the file is played totally randomly. The first 10-15 seconds are fine, then it suddenly jumps to a random point and starts playing from there. No way to rewind or skip back from that new point.
It's not a problem when I play 1080p mkv files, but xvid/divx sub-hd and such just fails. Really sad that such a huge issue not has been rooted out yet.

And yes, the files play perfectly well in VLC, media player, etc. on my PC.
This problem persist if I stream to my PS3 or TV.

I have another problem - my srt subs are VERY BIG. (both with mkv and mp4)

How do I adjust the size of srt subs?

Go to the MEncoder section of the Transcoding Settings tab and untick "ASS/SSA Subtitles" which will allow you to adjust the "Default font settings" values. Lower the "Font scale".
Then tick "ASS/SSA Subtitles" again :)

I should probably make it so that those options are always available.

Thanks Subjunk! Im learning about this excellent software bit by bit!

Why is it that you dont include avisynth as well in your "pack" (as you do for mencoder)? I mean it may come in handy as I understand it and it will be last (as default) in priority anyway..
