This is wrong

def strings1 = $URI.split('!!!pms_ch_dash_w!!!')
if (strings.length > 1)
$URI = strings[0] + '" -W "' + strings[1]

change to
def strings1 = $URI.split('!!!pms_ch_dash_w!!!')
if (strings1.length > 1)
$URI = strings1[0] + '" -W "' + strings1[1]

NOTE!!! the name change to "strings1" from "strings"!!!!

(my bad...)

:D Thanks. Now it works! :D
But I just see you havn't changed the 2. line in the rmtp.groovy script from
Code: Select all
RTMPDUMP = 'C:\\rtmpdump.exe'
to
Code: Select all
def RTMPDUMP = 'C:\\rtmpdump.exe'
But this has to be done, I guess.

Updated with old v1 support in NaviX. Some sites still uses it...
Also added a request from chocolateboy to be able to fetch all "next pages" at once. This is currently only added to the "All" folder. If you think this is annoying remove this line from navix.ch:
"prop=continue_name=>>>,continue_limit=0"
Change the contine_limit from zero will limit how many next pages that the plugin will traverse berfore stooping (0 means all there is).

Hey SharkHunter and Chocolateboy,

I am happy to see you all performing the work you have. I look forward to hearing again from you all soon on completing a pre-configured installation of this solution for everyone! I want everyone who uses Navi-X to consider you all the PS3 version of our team! Thanks again for all your considerations and work you are doing on this project!

Warm Regards,

Hey Folks,

Unfortunately I never successfully got this Channel plugin with PMSEncoder to work with our Navi-X directory, but I don't doubt a few have gotten this to work no problems!

I am looking for those who are not having issues playing back things in Navi-X via the Channel plugin.

If someone would be so kind as to give me "solid" instructions on how to install and configure this so if anyone read these directions and performs these instructions, then this plugin would work like a charm, I will post this plugin in our official forums and let our users start downloading this like crazy! The problem is until I can get this working with some easy to read and understand instructions, I can't offer this to anyone from our official channels.

ANYONE'S help would be greatly appreciated. While I have much respect for SharkHunter and Chocolateboy, I can not get this working based on their instructions... apparently I need to re-educate myself on how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich again, lol! Please e-mail these instructions to me at billdaly111 at gmail dot com and I will make sure you get props for putting in the effort for countless others. Thanks in advance!

Hey Bill

The installation has become somewhat simpler now. The only extra stuff that needs to be downloaded outside the installer is rtmpdump (if you wan't to use flash that is).
I'll need to perform a small cleanup of the installer (i'll remove some not needed paths from it) and add some good defaults for the Channels&PMSENcoder paths.

1) Download the plugin jars (if you use a SubJunk build you SHOULD NOT download PMSENCoder)
2) Download RTMPDump
3) Start PMS
5) Run Channel installer
6) Restart PMS

The only hard stuff left is the the RTMPDump that must be downloaded and placed somewhere and then configured in (via the GUI).
Once this is done I think you can view close to everything. If you need sopcast,PPLive or any more advanced feature this is a left out to be fixed later....

I'll get back later today...

Awesome! I can't wait to go home later and test out the new process. I will let you know if I have troubles and preferably yes... I would love flash video as well since rtmp is kind of vital if you want to see most of Navi-X content as well. I also wasn't sure if you also wanted to start using our main portal as well for all Navi-X users... here is the link to it... you can find it in settings.xml of the boxee version of Navi-X.

http://navix.turner3d.net/playlist/5024 ... l_home.plx

You should be able to see this in text in a browser if you want to preview it. We will start using this on XBMC as well on our next update. Let you know how the new install process turns out! Thanks again SharkHunter!

Added a new version with a much simplified installer. The install process is now as defined above. That is:
1) Download the plugin jars (if you use a SubJunk build you SHOULD NOT download PMSENCoder)
2) Download RTMPDump
3) Start PMS
5) Run Channel installer
6) Verify paths and press "Install/Update"
7) Restart PMS (just to make sure)

If you put the rtmpdump executable in the same path as mplayer (that is win32 etc.) the installer will find it automatically.
As with top folders for NaviX the current navix.ch file defines a number of folders these are easily modified (or new can be added real easy as well) currently it looks like (as an example you might find some
famous persons playlist in there):
Code: Select all
version=0.14
channel NaviX {
   img=http://navix.turner3d.net/images/navi-x_sm.gif
   folder {
      name=Site scraper
      url=http://navix.turner3d.net/playlist/2229/realtime_scrapers.plx
      prop=continue_name=(.*>>>.*|.*Next [Pp]age.*),continue_limit=6,auto_asx
      type=navix
      subtitle=s4u
   }
   folder {
      name=Sample playlist
      url=http://navix.turner3d.net/playlist/19195/ironbills_playlist.plx
      type=navix
      subtitle=s4u
   }
   folder {
      name=Top
      url=http://www.navi-x.org/playlists/med_port.plx
      prop=continue_name=(.*>>>.*|.*Next [Pp]age.*),continue_limit=6,auto_asx
      type=navix
      subtitle=s4u
   }
   folder {
      name=All
      url=http://navix.turner3d.net/playlist/all.plx
      type=navix
      prop=continue_name=(.*>>>.*|.*Next [Pp]age.*),continue_limit=6,auto_asx
      subtitle=s4u
   }
   folder {
      name=Img test
      url=http://navi-x.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/Navi-X/examples/example%202.plx
      type=navix
   }
   folder {
      name=House
      url=http://navix.turner3d.net/playlist/20203/house_m.d.plx
      prop=continue_name=(.*>>>.*|.*Next [Pp]age.*),continue_limit=6,auto_asx
      type=navix
      subtitle=s4u
   }
}

Hey SharkHunter,

I haven't had the opportunity to check it out yet, but I wanted to ask you about maybe putting our main portal in the navix.ch you distribute as well since it's our new landing playlist for those who use Navi-X on other platforms and we would like to get everyone there, even if you still list site scrapers in the navix.ch file. I editted the top portion of the navix.ch file to reflect my requested changes for this file from your end. Please consider updating this with these changes, as this gives you our proper title, logo and main portal entry. Thanks Sharkhunter for your considerations.

Code: Select all
version=0.14
channel Navi-X {
   img=http://website.navi-x.org/networks/boxee/navix_icon.png

   folder {
      name=Navi-X Media Portal
      url=http://navix.turner3d.net/playlist/50242/navi-xtreme_nxportal_home.plx
      prop=continue_name=(.*>>>.*|.*Next [Pp]age.*),continue_limit=6,auto_asx
      type=navix
      subtitle=s4u
   }

Will do next release. The navix.ch should just contain some starters and then the intention is to add what you need. For example I added yours and Bosemas playlists.
