Does PS3 Media server have .asx support or not?

Hi,

I'm wondering if .asx files are supported in the web.conf?

For instance I'm trying to connect to BBC radio 1 but it does not work

(http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/listen/live/r1.asx)

(tried searching and could not find a definate answer - closest was an outdated script by chocolateboy)

The channel plugin (viewtopic.php?f=12&t=9329) has built in asx support. You need a BBC channel of course...

Sharkhunter: you mention a channel - would I be able to use the path (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/listen/live/r1.asx) and get a blank picture but with sound??

And I looked at you channel plugin but I guess for each new channel you add I understood it as I need to add a script for each of them..and I'm not that gifted in writing scripts..I mean to add streams to the web.conf is very straightforward - but this is a bit harder. Or am I exaggerating?

I think I saw a "channel collection" (to avoid scripting) somewhere by some dude but is there a thread for it?

dingdong - yes you need to do some hacking ,creating a channel file which allows you to brows the "channel". I have been thinking to maybe add some sort of support to allow you just to add urls to allow you to utilize the support Channels brings that isn't supported by WEB.conf (like asx and the possibility to add links which should be mangled by some NaviX processor). If I add that then you would be able to add urls like http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/listen/live/r1.asx

The playlist was already outdated

This one works now:

audiostream.Web,Radio=Radio 1,mms://wm-live.bbc.net.uk/wms/bbc_ami/radio1/radio1_bb_live_int_eq1_sl0

(For the idiots like me:
1. Use foobar2000 and add the link "http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/listen/live/r1.asx" to the "file\add location".
2. Then several playlist will be generated and use one of the ones generated
3. Right click on one of them and hit "properties" - then select the tab "properties" (again)
4. Right click the "file path" and copy the path and use it to add it to the audiostream path above

Anyone now how often the path change?

Try this. I don't know if it works but I think I have a problem with my render setting. /You must have Channels 1.03)
Just copy everything and dump in a file in your channes dir (call it raw.ch)
