Remote Delete option

Thanks for writing this great server and making it open source. I'd like to put in a request for a "Delete" option in the info pane so that I can remotely delete media from my PS3. Thanks again!

Do you actually want to delete the media from the HDD, or do you just not want it available when you browse on the PS3?

In my case, I'd actually like to delete the media... since I use the same server box to stream TV shows to my laptop and can't keep track of which eps I've already watched in the living room

Before you enter your folders, push all the way down and you can find a folder named 'Delete' or something...? Right?

Not that I've seen... I guess I can give it another look when I get home. Maybe shagrath snuck it in the .10 releases....

Hi did anyone ever find out if this was possible? I've searched the forums and tried everything but I can't delete a file on my PC using the remote of my PS3. It would be a MASSIVE improvement if we could do this as its a right pain to have to go back to the PC after watching stuff to delete it all the time! BTW I can't find this folder you are talking about?

a) there are recent threads regarding the "delete" option (viewtopic.php?f=6&t=9652&start=0#p45030), so no need to necropost
b) the "delete" option doesn't currently exist
c) the "delete" option probably won't exist (as detailed in the recent threads)

meskibob not sure what your link is referring to but it doesn't seem to be about what I was asking? This was the only thread that came up when I used the search tool. Thanks for clarifying the matter though, friendly place here !

haha the last thing u want is ure kids deleting ure files by accident, rofl not that i have any kids just saying, im preety sure its impossible though for security related reasoning.
