while there was no sound with recoded YouTube videos using version 1.04 now I have "Mickey Mouse" sound!
In other words:
All YouTube videos are recoded with sound that sounds like an old 33rpm record played on 45.
As ps on my Linux system reveals the following mencoder parameters:
