Okay... I finally got something to play back on my PS3, but everything else is still broken (rtmp and HD items specifically) I installed the rtmpdump and rtmp.groovy script based on the poor instructions I found or received in doing this.
Also, I have to say that this appears to be waaaay to hard for average computer users to get working so I am not at all inclined on telling people in our forums anything about this plugin project. While it is nice to give accessibility to our public directory for users, it appears there is a lack of help in getting it to work, no attempt at compiling an all in one package with the plugin already setup and configured and a sarcastic undertone by Chocolateboy in trying to make this work. While understood where you all are coming from, I too am a developer on a team and this is not how we engage other partners who work with us. I was hoping for more cooperation in at least getting this to work once, yet it has been a struggle out the gate for someone who knows about computers to even get this working... general users would never get this working right based on the instruction I have received. Furthermore, I would never want to anger the 207,000 plus people who use Navi-X by suggesting they use your plugin for consoles, then complain to me about how little help they received or that it doesn't work properly... who do you think will get these e-mails? Me, that's who. No thank you!
After spending over 3 hours trying to get this plugin to even work partially, I have to say I am giving up on this plugin and will NOT be suggesting it to our users for the time being. Until we can resolve certain differences like ease of installation and setup (NO MANUAL CONFIGURATIONS), getting things to actually work like .mp4 native playback and a certain somebody changes the way they communicate to developers, I have to say I wasted my time that I can't get back on a plugin PS3 Media Server with a ton of potential. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I'm angry with you guys... this has been a negative developer experience for me, which is much nicer than how users would communicate this to you if you began engaging our users with this plugin.
Please get back to me at my e-mail address Shark Hunter if you have any wish to resolve these differences in the future. Thanks again for your understanding friends.
