Channel plugin (Updated 12-06-23)

Discuss third-party additions, plugins and translations for PS3 Media Server

I've updated Channel.

The most important update is related to icefilms. It tries to use MegaVideo rather than MegaUploads. But MegaVideo support requiers PMSEncoder 1.4.0 (which is not released yet) plus some new groovy scripts.
Until then you can still use MegaUploads (the pluguin will give you both the MegaUpload and MegaVideo links).

The 0.29 version is basically just some small updates to avoid to much depentency.

Thanks a lot for the work on the update and for the response on my question!

I updated the channel plug in, pmsencoder 1.4. and the channel files as well as the new groovy scripts (megaupload, megavideo etc.). Unfortunately ice-films and p2p arent working though. I still get the message of corrupt data on my ps3. I enclose the log files to this message. Maybe you can help me again..
thanks in advance!

And if you haven't read a script, you shouldn't be using it.

Just wondering if it's possible that this could be configured/modified to play livestream.com tv channels? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I did not realise I had to create a folder in the PS3 Media Server folder called "pmsencoder" to put the rtmp.groovy file into. Now the pmsencoder log is different, but it still doesn't play.

I am trying to get the basic channel plugin working with a single channel: svt. I can browse the A-Z folders, and I can see some playable files in some folders, but not others. When trying to play some I get a file corrupt error. Here is a snippet from the log:

Things that I think could be more clear in the documentation:
* where to put the scripts i.e. creating a pmsencoder folder in the P3 Media Server folder.
* whether the pplive.groovy script is needed - unless one is using p2p.
* the one needs to download rtmpdump.exe and modify the rtmp.groovy script to point to it - and to insert "def" in line 2. And that the path probably shouldn't have spaces in it.

pmsencoder.log zipped and attached below. It now shows that it's found rtmpdump.exe.

Any tips, greatly appreciated please. Thanks heaps.

My rtmp script looks a little diffrent (yes I have not synched with my git), but nothing that informs me that stuff shouldn't work. I was under the impression that you needed to add "pmsencoder.script.directory"=<your path here>" into PMS.conf to get PMSEncoder to find the groovy scripts? I tired the same clip you did just now and it worked fine, (the only difference is that I uses RTMpdump 2.1).
Just to rule that out can you download the file directly (=rtmpdump.exe -r "rtmpe://fl11.c90909.cdn.qbrick.com/90909/_definst_/kluster/20110213/PG-1132600-010A-ELEPHANTPRINCES-02-mp4-e-v1.mp4" -o xxx)?

Regarding Linux I assume it should work. I think other people already uses Linux...
