I have been trying to stream movies etc from PC to new Bravia KDL40HX800 with little sucess. I have installed inteltoolsforupnptechnology_v2 and run device spy etc. Here is my invoke output: -

I will be honest and say I have no idea what this is all about :-). I have created a config file for HX800 as follows

Unfortunately PS3MS under detected media renderes I get unknown renderer and on the Bravia TV under PC I get "No Signal". I am running PS3 Media Server v1.20.412

*Update*

PS3 MS now can see my HX800 as a media renderer. (I had to force IP of the server and voila!). On Bravia under video I can find folder with movies but when I click on movie to start it , themovie start but the screen is blank and there is no sound??

Here's hoping that somebody will be able to point me in the right direction as I do not get my PS3 for a few weeks yet and would sincerely like to stream HD movies to new TV.

Cheers,

hello can you give me the pms trace ( file debug.log) because you have to set useragentsearch.

the specs of your tv http://certification.dlna.org/certs/REG82317074.pdf"

you can perhaps use the conf of bravia serie 5500 , just modified the name in useragentsearch.

like that

# ps3mediaserver renderer profile for Sony Bravia 5500 series
# Refer to PS3.conf for help

RendererName=Sony Bravia KDL-40HX800
RendererIcon=bravia.png
UserAgentSearch=notusedhere
UserAgentAdditionalHeader=X-AV-Client-Info
UserAgentAdditionalHeaderSearch=(BRAVIA KDL-40HX800)
Video=true
Audio=true
Image=true
SeekByTime=true
TranscodeVideo=MPEGAC3
TranscodeAudio=MP3
DefaultVBVBufSize=true
MuxH264ToMpegTS=true
MuxDTSToMpeg=false
WrapDTSIntoPCM=false
MuxLPCMToMpeg=false
MaxVideoBitrateMbps=0
MaxVideoWidth=0
MaxVideoHeight=0
H264Level41Limited=true
MimeTypesChanges=audio/wav=audio/L16|video/mp4=video/mpeg
DLNALocalizationRequired=true
TranscodeExtensions=dvr-ms,dvr,mkv,dv,ty,mov,ogm,hdmov,hdm,rmv,rmvb,rm,asf,evo,asx,flv,m2v,mpe,mod,tivo,ty,tmf,ts,tp,m2p,mp4,m4v,avi,wmv,wm,divx,div,flac,mlp,fla,wma,m4a,aac,dts,mka,ape,ogg,shn,mpc,ra,mp2,wv,oma,aa3,gif,png,arw,cr2,crw,dng,raf,mrw,nef,pef,tif,tiff

I have noticed in PS3 MS it says that it is serving Blow.2001.1080p.BlueRay.x264-CINEFILE.mlv [MEncoder} [container: matroska] {video: h264} but transcoding buffer status is empty (0 kb/s) and peak bit rate is 0kb/s???

hello can you give me the pms trace ( file debug.log).

In debug.log one can find the name of a streaming client in order to make a custom *.conf file, e.g.:

file debug.log
"...
X-AV-Client-Info: av=5.0; cn="Sony Corporation"; mn="BRAVIA KDL-40W4500/47 "; mv="1.7";
X-AV-Client-Info: av=5.0; cn="Sony Corporation"; mn="BRAVIA KDL-37V5500 "; mv="1.7";
..."

try that in your profile .conf:

-———————————————————
# ps3mediaserver profile for Sony Bravia TV

I just got the 46HX800 myself and would love to get this working properly. Currently playback is sporadic. I am very new to PS3 Media Server. I just now got it installed and running. I grabbed the newest beta version 1.20.412. I used the text provided by Illico above to create a Bravia2010.conf file. Right now some of my HD Mpeg-2 files will play, but not any .mkv files. Most of my HD Mpeg-2 files will start to play, then I get a message popping up telling me "video file cannot be played". Other times I get audio but no video. I'd be happy to provide anyone who can help the necessary information to get this working.

I have managed to get it working but need to use PS3muxer to change DTS audio to AC3 for HD files. I am running an old Intel Pentium D 915 (2.4) which does not seem fast enough for HD content. I get visual but sporadic audio only with DTS.

I am not able to get IMDB movie info working via plug-in. If any can help it would be appreciated.
