I went back to 1.10.51 and same problems came straight back, spent all day troubleshooting and to no avail even deleting half my files out to test....

But not luck so I went back to 1.04 and worked perfectly but no DTS, so went back to 1.10.1 and it works perfectly and I have DTS

I have had inexplicable issues with 1.10.51 before and feel it's just buggy!

This issue probably have several reasons.... at least for me, I was using the latest VideoLan, wich seems incompatible with PMS (VideLan 1.0.5).
Reinstalling VideoLan 0.98 seemed to resolve this type of errors for me at least

I have the next error message on my slim PS3 box using PS3 Media Server (PS3 Media Server for Linux/Unix *UNSTABLE* v1.20.409 BETA ) on Ubuntu:
"A DLNA protocol error (2006) has ocured"
This error appear when I use large folders (for folders with just a few files is working OK).
The version PS3 Media Server for Linux/Unix *STABLE* v1.10.5 does not have this problem.

I have not had to touch it since going back to 1.10.1.... still runs and runs and runs, up to about 1.5TB now and no issues, touch wood!

Been a few months, anyone have luck successfully opening folders with numerous files?

I have a folder with about 10,000 ripped MP3s (around 40GB) unable to be accessed with the most recent PS3MS. On the advice of this thread, I downloaded an older version of PS3 Media Server and the folders and files became visible on the PS3. However, when I go to copy them to my PS3 hard drive, I get a 80030420 error (no idea what this means, nothing online about it) before the copy process is about to begin. Any advice on where to go from here? By the way, I am using a crossover cable to copy files over to my PS3, it has worked well for video folders 20GB+.

I wonder if it's like a buffer overflow or timeout error or something. You're only effectively getting 50% throughput with a crossover. See if you can pick up a network switch (4 port, about $20) and run two lan cables, one from PC to switch, one from switch to PS3. This way you will get full 100Mbps throughput and see how it goes.

This is a BUG in the most recent PS3MS. We have problems to see (display) the files inside the folder and not to play the files (by sure we can't play the files since we can't have access to it). This is not a throughput problem, in my case I have full 100Mbps LAN using a switch.

How can it be a bug in PMS when you are failing to copy them to your PS3 Hard Drive? You wouldn't be using PMS to copy them to you hard drive would you?

What do you mean by copy them to your PS3 Hard Drive (it is not clear)? Coping the files from server PMS HDD location to PS3 HDD it is a different problem.

The problem here has that the files are not visible (not accessible) from PS3 to PMS HDD server location.
If you use an older PMS version the files are visible! So, it is a bug in the latest version.
