Discuss alternative media renderers (not PS3) supported by PS3 Media Server (e.g. Xbox 360, TVs &c.)

Hi there. Any chance someone could figure out what has broken pmsencoder with these last patches please? I have two builds of PMS. One manually patched, plays internet TV, but some how I've broken something else. The other is patched with the all-in-one patch but won't play internet TV. Thanks in advance.

Windows setup binary here.
Source here.

I tried this build and it doesn't work. Do I need to do something with the patch that's in your post?

No, that binary should be fine. What doesn't work exactly?

I tried the v3 patch on a newly checked out copy and it doesn't show any thumbnails for me. I extracted imagemagick into the win32 directory. Maybe there is something needed in the pms.conf also? pmsencoder support still broken with this patch.

The files don't show up on my blueray.
I'll uninstall and reinstall and see if that fixes it.

Do you have a US one, or European? And have you used PS3MS before, or is this the first time?

Thumbnails only work for Photos. No DLNA server seems to be able to get thumbnails working for the other media categories on the Sony Blurays.

Check if your conf sets "TranscodedVideoFileSize=370".

@patters: Thanks as always! Maybe this could be added to the the patch?

I didn't see any thumbnails appear for photos. Just the standard blue icon thingamee.

It is - it creates the renderer file. You'll need to delete it before running the patch or it will duplicate the whole file.
