PS3 can't see PMS and PMS can't see PS3

Postby neowelchsevilism » Sat Feb 21, 2009 6:18 am

P4 2.4 ghz, 1.5gb ram
Wireless

PS3 Media Server is not detecting PS3 and PS3 is not detecting PSMS.
My UPnP is enabled, this was working fine yesterday, but for some odd reason it's not working today.
It appears that the program is missing a few components according to the traces below, but I'm not a programmer, so I could be wrong.
I have uninstalled, redownloaded and reinstalled this program with the same effect.
I do not recognize the IP address the PMS is sendin g a discover message to, it's not my PS3's address.
Whatever it is, it's not connecting to the PMS properly.
I used Windows Media Player as a test media server and it appears on my PS3.
Does anyone have any idea what's wrong?

I appreciate your assistance in advance.

I RESOLVED THIS ISSUE MYSELF

I can not believe I over looked this, and I'm not entirely certain how this was changed. For anyone that is experiencing an issue such as this, in addition to checking your UPnP is enabled, on your router. Make sure you check that the network adapter that you use to connect to your router is listed in the "GENERAL CONFIGURATION > NETWORK SETTINGS > FORCE NETWORKING ON INTERFACE" of the Java PS3 Media Server. Make absolutely sure your adapter is selected.

I'm sure that's something obvious to check to some people, but it's easy to over look.

I got to say I love this program, mad props to the creators!
