Hi, Thanks for this work Whitefrt.

Can I just clarify what's going on here. I thought the point of this process was to allow x264 + multichannel audio to be repacked as x264 + WMA-PRO Multichannel audio for the 360 so that no video transcoding was needed.

Have I got this wrong? Because in a post above Whitefrt mentions that mencoder is outputting WMV2 for compatability reasons.

So if I have an MKV with x264+AC3, will that get repacked and only the audio converted, or is it going to also transcode the video?

Works great on my windows 7 box, however my media server runs on 2003. any chance this can be ported over to run on 2k3?

As he states right in the first post, this is minimum Vista. This isn't something that can be "ported over", and there currently isn't any other way (that I know of) to get 5.1 on the 360... [edit]with PMS.[/edit]

I'm aware of what he states in his first post. I was simply asking if there was a none vista way of doing this on xp or w2k3. Also why did you delete my individual post relating to 5.1 audio. It was not a repeat post, it was a separate thread asking for help.

im trying to run this on server 2008 and im receiving a side by side configuration error. Is it also incompatible with server 2008?

Ill answer my own question. It does. Ensure you install the .net framework addon and it runs a treat. .net framework is an addon in server 2008, and you dont need to download it.

DONT install .net 4 on server 2008, for some reason it seems to kill the network connection. This has happened on my own server 2008 r2, and also several of a company i know.
