Help me create a profile for Dish922

Discuss alternative media renderers (not PS3) supported by PS3 Media Server (e.g. Xbox 360, TVs &c.)

Here is the info from my log and movie log. I am using ver 1.10.51.
1- core2 duo E8400@ 3Ghz, 4GB DDR2 400mhz, Nvidia GEforce 9800 gt, windows XP SP3
2- 100 Mb Ethern Connection
3- Dish Network Vip922 Duo Slingloaded DVR (supported formats not documented)

I am trying to stream a MKV or AVI file with ps3 media server with mencoder to the 922 receiver. I get good video but no audio. I cam convert the file using txmuxer and get audio but it is 2 channel.

If PMS works for you, carry on using whatever version of PMS/Java you like.

If it doesn't work, use the latest version of PMS and the latest version of Java. The version of PMS you're using (which is well over a year old) probably can't even parse the mediainfo settings at the bottom of the profile posted above.

As for this renderer, try fiddling with the TranscodeAudio setting (try setting it to PCM - restart PMS after each profile change), and, likewise, try toggling the (boolean) TranscodeAudioTo441kHz option (copy it from one of the other renderer profiles).

I switched to 1.20.409 beta and the mkv files play now. I still have a little stutter in the video. I haven't gotten the avi files to play. The avi movie folders show up on the 922, but they show empty with no files. Is there any setting in ps3 ms that could cause this.

Thanks,

Working profile for VIP922 for most of the files

I gave it a try and it did play some movies that I couldn't play before. I had a problem where it would keep plating the same movie over and over not matter which movie you selected. I also got an error: error code -21 on txmuxer.exe. I have attached the log file. That's so much for you help.

I have seen it but I think it does it when there is some kind off encoding error on ps3mediaserver and then 922 plays the last video.
I would say only use tsmuxer in case to playback "MKV" file, for everything else use mencoder.

what is the file type where tsmuxer gives the error?

Thanks for the profile to try out. I believe I am also getting the same error as atgvir. MKV files play, but AVI's do not. I have attached a debug.log and mediainfo.
The error is actually error code -2! not -21

I believe this is the error:
Code: Select all
[Thread-34] DEBUG 17:45:47.250 Pes packet len too large ( >100Mb). Bad stream or invalid codec speciffed.

Any ideas?

Can anyone confirm mencoder working on this player?
