@lightglitch

Thx for your work.
Can you please post how to install this update?
It seems a little bit too difficult for me :(

Thank you

If you don't have the know-how to install it now as is, then you should probably wait for it to get converted to a plugin. Please have some patience.
I provide NO application support via PM or email, so please post your question to the forum per the Forum Rules.

You have to implement it in source code, and compile it?

You have to wait. If no-one beats me to it, packaging/re-implementing this as a plugin is on my TODO list, but not for the forseeable future. It would make more sense and take less time for the original developer(s) to do it.

Either way, this is the developers sub-forum. If you're not a developer, then, as meskibob says, you'll have to be patient.

I don't have time to implement this as plugin now, but I did fix a minor bug with refreshing.

About installing if you put the update.jar in the root of the ps3ms and restart it should work.

@kaio85: I tested with my ps3 and the thumbnails are working, try this version. If the problem still persists reset your library.

Edit: The patch file was incomplete, I don't know how nobody notice that until jamiecreek.

Hi lightglitch
Yesterday I tried your modifications and found that when vfolders is not defined in PMS.conf or if there is disconnected volume or shared drive defined in vfolders, it will make an exception.
Your mod can't catch any exception so missing drive will break whole PMS functionality :?
It is possible to fix it somehow? There are quite many changes so quite hard for me 8-)
Thx

Many thanks!!!!!!
I will do more testing today. Only tested 2 virtual folders.
Also I spotted when folders had special chars as čýřážíýéá, they are not correctly displayed in http://xbmc.org/ which I used as test client (not home to test it on TV or PS3). Also other SW clients displayed it incorrectly but I don't know it it is problem in PMS or in clients :)
Anyway many thanks for your great job!

Here it's the update. I now check if the configuration parameter is there and also check is the configured folders are readable.
Please check if this solves the problems reported.
