I tried PS3 Media Server beta with my BDP-S370. It detected ok, but none of the files played. I could browse folders, etc, though. The message was "File is corrupt or unsupported", or something like that.
The player identifies in the trace with the strings with "UPnP/1.0 DLNADOC/1.50" and "UPnP/1.0". No reference to brand or model. Copying a portion of the string from the trace log, and putting into a config file allows custom settings. I still couldn't get anything to play.
I tried some of these settings:
