Not a whole lot has changed in this release, just fixed up a couple of things and updated some others.

Code: Select all
version 0.1.2 (05/18/2010)
[*] All users added to the system can run commands that require different access with sudo.
[*] FlexGet, PS3 Media Server, SABnzbd, and Transmission commands will now make sure they are executed with the right permissions.
[*] Got rid of an annoying warning message when starting NFS.
  [*] Updated Transmission to 1.93.
  [*] Updated FlexGet to r1278.
  [*] Updated SABnzbd to 0.5.2.
  [*] Minor script cleanups.

Hello!
First of all, great idea! Testing the stuff as we speak, not that familiar yet with linux commands so a none GUI linux distro is abit hard for me. However its fun to try it out :)

few things i would like to see in the future:

- Auto sub downloader
- Remote control (Web interface thingy) for easy reboot, manage etc for the server.
- New Mencoder plugin by Chocolat to play webstreams (Doesnt work atm)

Anyways, for now i have a problem with SABnzbd. i installed the live CD on my system (using the command u gave earlier) seems to work good (Flexget works) but SABnzbd wont install. When i enter the Sabzbd-setup it just does nothing...
When i try to start service SABnzbd it says it not installed.

Please some pointers on what i can try.

Doh, stupid mistake on my part, put the SABnzbd files in the wrong folder.

This will fix it:
Code: Select all
sudo mv /opt/sabnzbd/SABnzbd-0.5.2/* /opt/sabnzbd/
sudo rm -r /opt/sabnzbd/SABnzbd-0.5.2/

Then just run `service sabnzbd start`

Yep, that fixed it. Thought it was something like that but well i just need to learn linux more i guess.

Trying the mencoder plugin by chocolatboy atm, as webstreams does not work here.

(Sorry if i spam with things that dont work)

Got SabNZBd working, got it all working i think

Problem i have atm is with subtitles on PS3 media server. They dont play. Altough he detects them (and i put in the right values on PMS.conf) it doesnt show on streaming.
I had this problem when i started with ps3 media server on ubuntu.

apologizing for telling me my distribution is horrible and falling apart? lol don't apologize. this is good, finally getting some features i don't use often fixed up.

Hopefully most "advertised" features work for you now :)

and btw, I'm looking into chocolateboy's PMSEncoder for web streaming and adding it to the next version.

Stupid question: why isn't mencoder using more than 1 cpu?

Will the live cd environment be able to resume any downloads stopped during the previous sessions?
