Flac file never shows up

Postby LasseL » Sun Feb 15, 2009 11:05 am

Hi

I have problem playing a specific FLAC file,,

The file never shows up if I am traversing folder, or traversing Media Library.

The only thing, I can find, that is specific for this file, (from 160 GBytes of FLAC files) is that this file is size, 215239 KB.

I am running on a Pentium4, 3,4 GHz, " Gbyte Ram, 100/1000 MBit Ethernet.
My client is a PS3.

The same file works "fine", running Tversity. (Tversity has other problems)

well apart sending me the file, it's hard to know why this particular file fails :\
I would suggest to dig into the debug.log file, and search for the filename of this file
you can post here the extract

Hi

Sadly,, I did re-organize my collection,,, (NAS disc that failed).

Re-scanning media library gave me this error message.... ( There is a possibility that this is the same error that caused me to start this thread)

A simple guess is that the problem is caused by the extreemly long filename. I am using dbPoweramp to rip my cd's and really would not like to edit filenames.

yes it's an internal issue with handling the long filename and the character ù

What is the maximum length, and will there be a fix?

256 chars I think, and I still have to reproduce the bug
