Yeah, YouTube XL is shit. After trying to get it to not suck for the past half hour, I've given up. It's embarrassing.
I've no idea how your site compares as far as HD support is concerned as it hides that support behind a series of steps that seem to involve cookie copying. For starters, this is a pain to do and, more importantly, I'd need to see a detailed rationale for doing such a thing rather than "please follow these instructions".
