Issue with podcasts - screeching noise

Postby relayer35 » Tue Feb 10, 2009 10:10 pm

Since upgrading to 1.04, the podcasts that I have set up in web.conf are not working properly. The sound is distorted. I am getting a loud screeching noise. Here is my information:

Please give the following informations:

1- your computer specs (cpu, memory)

Computer is an AMD Athlon X2 6000+, with 2gb

2- the network connection you are using for streaming your files (wifi, homeplugs, ethernet 100Mbits, or gigabit)

100Mbit ethernet

3- detailed infos on what's not working

see above.
4- a debug.log file excerpt, or you can zip the whole file. this file can be found in the application directory, or if you have UAC and Vista activated, likely found in the Windows temp directory

There are no error messages in the debug.log file

The podcasts I have set up are: (The Tekzilla one did not work at all prior to 1.04)

videofeed.Web,Podcasts=http://revision3.com/tzdaily/feed/quicktime-high-definition
videofeed.Web,Podcasts=http://www.podshow.com/feeds/hd.xml

I mentioned this in the RSS Enclosures thread, but I think it got buried. Viewing local files is working properly. I am only having this issue with the web stuff. Any help is appreciated.

Same for me, i don't know if the 1.04 has anything to do with it, cause I never tried podcasts before. Audio podcasts and radio channel work perfectly and so does everything else but not Video Podcasts. The pictures are rolling but the sound just "screeching"? Ive tried to change the "audio web streaming engines" and tried many other podcast channels but that didn't do much (same thing). Any help on this issue would be much appreciated. And I must thank the author of this piece of software because it is just incredible!

I've noticed the same sound problem (screeching) on a few video podcasts since upgrading from 1.03 to 1.04.

Tried this podcast, this works with the Video Web Streaming Engine "VideoLan Video Streaming" with great sound. But now the ones that just showed video and had a screeching sound...like "http://www.gametrailers.com/gtbonusround_podcast.xml" give the error message "There are damaged data" or something (no video no sound). I will investigate further...thanks for the help!
