Windows Media Player & PS3 Media Server?

Is it possible to discovery materials with the media server Windows Media Player or Windows Media Center?
Windows Media Player sees the server but when opening writes empty.

It is due to fact PMS doesn't know your renderer. You can check it in debug.log or traces in PMS...search for "unknown renderer found"
If you will use mentioned "renderer tag", PMS will respond with directory listing to your custom renderer. Check correct forum here for "alternative renderers": viewforum.php?f=15

Make a copy of popcornhour.conf and rename it to some name.
Change "UserAgentSearch=?????????" to your "useragent" string. It is not needed to use whole string, part is enough.
Restart PMS and test it again if your renderer will be found as popcorna and you see files listed in dir.

it is empty because exception generated. I don't know what exactly "ConcurentModificationException" means so Shagrath will be good source of help
Do you use other renderer which uses "Microsoft-Windows/6.1 upnp/1.0" as UserAgentSearch? Or did you started PMS under administrator? It is due to write permissions on some systems.

Other renderers do not use, PMS starts from the Administrator
Just curious that in this amount of time no one tried to use with PC players, the same Windows Media Player)

With XBMC software it works for me. I don't like MS WMP

this is so useful if we can get this working properly. and added to the beta release. much better then unknown renderer all the way through the log file.
