.DEB package available for Debian/Ubuntu

It's not an issue from the deb package,
at most it's a bug from the upstream source ...
but i mostly think that's a problem from you system or your conf (PMS.conf ..)
I haven't released a new version for near 3 weeks now and that problem was not noticed to me !
Show us the /var/log/pms-linux/debug-*.log file to see

Awesome that there is PS3 media server for linux available. Tho i have bad news, tried installing and get an error

Hi, you must install mencoder 1st

Activate the ubuntu/multiverse repository in your /etc/apt/sources.list and then install ...
YOu have to install all dependencies ( mencoder, mplayer , openjdk ... ) as i mentionned in the 1st post of this thread !

oh it was in the end of that post... why? it would be a lot userfriendly to have that info available in the top, since they need to be installed first before pms

This is pretty good solution. I finally got mkv files to play. Now if I could only get quicktime to work I would be all set.

First of all thank you for compiling this great package

I'm having a problem with playing some MKV files. 1/3 of my movies play fine but some of them come back with an error.
When i try the Windows PS3Mediaserver i have no problems playing those movies so it's not that.

To see the log i have started PMS on the foreground. I get the error: "data corrupted" on the PS3 and in the console i see:

i usually don't play .mkv files, so cannot say ... but i'm almost sure it's not a problem from the packaging since i did not modify encoding directives ..
i only changed the path where debug.log is saved and the path of tsMuxeR.
Anyway, propose to post or search directly in another thread
btw, submit your full log (when you try to play the .mkv file) .. maybe i could help

Do you know where i can get that log from?

I found a error log from PMS but that was empty.
