Could it be - with the streaming, that it also streams more than one file and that's why it needs so much bandwidth that it's stutters?...

No, if you stream the file that is not in the transcoding folder, Mencoder is used by default unless you have chosen otherwise.

Okey - thanks. Didn't changed any of the settings.

Just wanted to say thanks for again for a great Ap. I finally played a .mkv that never worked in 1.03, and made it all the way through with no problems at all, and quite good quality. Not even one stutter! This was the windows version. Unfortunately, the OSx version is not as good. Less hiccups with 1.03 than 1.04. MEncoder crashes every time on OSx. Win version is rock solid. I am really hoping for a stable OSx version as this is my primary computer and has an even faster processor than my PC.

Cheers, and thanks for all your hard work.

Hi and thanks for a great media server.
I'm using 1.04 in Windows XP and can't save "Transcode buffer maximun size, in megabytes (maximun: 600)" in common transcode settings. If I enter 600 and press save it's still 400 after closing and restarting the server. Why there is this 600 maximum after all?

Keep on good work!

Hi I just wanted to say thank you for such a great application. :D
I had been using TVersity for sometime but it seemed to get slower and worse with each build. I had ever increasing problems and it just never seemed to work right any more so I looked for an alternative and found PS3 Media Server.

It was such a relief to use, quick, easy, no need to disable UAC on Vista and the PS3 picks it up straight away...no messing around with restarting the service every time.

I will be donating soon and spreading the word as much as I can about your application!

Again thank you so much! :D

Bug. You need to delete decimal part also ;)

what kind of channel swapping ? (right <-> center ?)

Yes I have HDMI receiver. It's hard to tell what swapping issues I have since I can't seem to find a good test file clearly defined locational DTS audio. My bigger problem is that channels are being dropped; I seem to only hear the surround channels from the fronts and nothing else.

I too am having an issue with LPCM playback. It did work in 1.03 as people are saying. In 1.04 it's really odd in that there is NO front channels for me(i.e. a movie will only play the surround channels w/ no vocal). I think it worked on one movie that I tried but 90% of them acted that way. I like the new additions to 1.04 but I may go back to 1.03 until resolved. Of course I get more stutter streaming 4.6mbps vs 640kbps...but that's my PC setup :)

BTW: I'm curious how do you get "more sound" (4.6mbps) out of an original 640-1.5mpbs max audio bitrate? You can't add what was already removed...?

I downgraded mplayer from 2:1.0~rc2svn28403 to 2:1.0~rc2-0ubuntu and then it worked again. I was also able to play the radio stations.

Same here, also after a video transcode is complete the process crashes that transcoded the file.

Keep up the good work :D
