Board advanced search disabled?

Any reason why I'm told "Sorry but you are not permitted to use the search system." when using the advanced search and logged in?

Advanced search was disabled, but it does appear to be working for me now. Same with the search issue from my PM.
But a normal forum user confirming the advanced search would be great.

Anyone else having problems, I'd suggest making a Google custom search engine to search the board.
