Just use whatever editor you want to edit the file /etc/init.d/PS3MediaServer.

Great init script, but I have one problem with it...
Code: Select all
sudo /etc/init.d/PS3MediaServer stop

also kills down Vuze..... This is not a very good thing in my eyes... :o

Hi,

First of all, thanks for a great script! Now to the question, the script or something else behaves rather oddly at startup, i've put it in init.d and added it using rc.d-update. And the server starts at startup, however I keep getting all kinds of error that it can't find the decoders. The strange part is that if I stop and start using sudo ./PS3MediaServer it works perfectly... have I set the permissions wrong somewhere? Or is there a difference in starting a script at startup and in a terminal using sudo?

Thanks!

Your script is missing copyright information, and license. Could you please specify?

I concur w/ Umbra. Killing java will get messy (my Eclipse project!).

Code should save it's process ID in a pidfile. 'stop' should stop that PID only.

gettin better, though!

Hey RyLoS... Any plans to update your script so that other java apps don't get killed :?:

You could try this one as an alternative.
