No JAVA 64 support?

Hi, I just did a clean Windows 7 install (64bit) with the latest Java RE 6.0 r11 64bit.

Upon installing PS3MS, the application insists on installing JRE before it runs. It turns out it is installing the 32bit version. Not ideal when a perfect 64bit copy is already installed.

Yeh same here - running 6.0r12 (as its got the x64 browsers plugins) and was forced to install 32bit version for it to work.

Shagrath, is it possible to get PMS to check for presence of the x64 version on startup as well?

I'm checking the presence of Java, based on
- the JAVA_HOME environment variable
- if not declared, the registry: SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment

I'm not so in the regedit knowledge, but on 64bit, as in my case, the info is found at:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment

JAVA_HOME isn't declared on my machine but the home directory is declared:

For the x64 build of 6.0 u12:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment\1.6.0_12\JavaHome = REG_SZ / C:\Program Files\Java\jre6
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment\1.6\JavaHome = REG_SZ / C:\Program Files\Java\jre6

For the x86 build of 6.0 u11:

The OS is Windows 7 x64. Its likely though if you use the standard Java registry query commands, that Windows will virtualise and redirect the registry responses using the WOW64 environment.
