Dont unpack SourceCode... /Plugin directory should only contain MovieInfo.jar and MovieInfo.conf.

Okay, got it...It's working perfectly now. Not sure if this has already been asked but how can I get better quality cover art?

Thanks for all your help.

I think this is pretty awesome. There are just two things I want to know:

1) Can I specify the storage location of the thumbnails for the cover images? I don't necessarily want them stored with my movie files.

2) Is there a way I can get this to scan my entire movie collection and store the results, rather than having to select each one in the PS3 interface?

Cheers,
Oz

The reason why its saving in the same folder with the same name is that the PS3MS can read that cover next time you are seeing the videofile. You cannon change thit at the moment...

You mean the one that is stored on the hdd ? There reason why its so small is that it takes less time to download (=less waiting time for results) and that its only used as a thumbnails of the video file on the ps3...(=no need for bigger file) You cannon change this at the moment.

aargh, the new PS3 firmware (3.0) has this annoying habit of hiding the entire file list other than the highlighted file. This is in particular annoying when trying to read the synopsis of the movie... I know this program can't do much about it, as it is a firmware issue. Just highlighting in case a workaround would be possible.

Now I also need to find a way to make the font size smaller, again firmware 3.0 changed into a bigger font in the file list, so now less characters to read on a line of text in the IMDB synopsis.

I'm trying to get this working on a Windows Server 2008 x64 system and I having trouble.

PS3 Media Server 1.10.51 works fine but I can't get movieinfo to work.

There was no "plugins" directory in the PS3 Media Server directory so I created one and put the 2 files into that directory (the .conf and .jar files).

In the debug.log, I don't see it getting loaded. I tried "plugins" and "plugin" for the directory.

On my PS3, when I browse to my movies, I don't see the new movieinfo folder.

Is there something I am missing?

Thanks!

First, thanks jaqb for this awesome plugin, I love the way it has progressed and gotten better with each version. Couple suggestions, dont know what is plausible and what is not.

Can we get the coverart and Launching of the movie directly inside this plugin? So when I'm in the movie info directory and reading the IMDB I can launch the movie and see the cover art right from either inside the IMDB (Or any other site supported by the plugin) or at least one directory back before selecting the website. Basically I dont ever want to leave the movie plugin directory, I would just always go in here and view my info, watch my trailer and launch my movies inside the plugin but I want to keep the same look with the coverart if possible.

More work needs to be done on getting most of these trailers to stream properly from Youtube or Google. Not sure how the searching works for finding the trailers, but it seems the IMDB info is pretty accurate but the trailers return weird results alot of the time. Even the HD and SD return completly different results. And when I do get a trailer with the right name, most of the time it won't play properly, the latest Aug 31 made it possible to play some, but alot still get the corrupted data error message.

Having the same grief as everyone else with the PS3 3.0 Firmware and the fading text I thought of a possible solution to keep it from fading. I noticed when my movie list is being populated, as long as more content was loading below, the text would not fade out or would fade a little and quickly come back as more data loaded. Maybe we could either loop blank lines at an interval that would prevent the text from fading. For example every 3 sec load loop a blank line at the bottom or create a new blank line until we hit the maximum. Not ideal but I doubt Sony will fix it, it's afterall, a so called feature.

Thanks again and keep up the great work on this Plugin, I'm looking forward to the next version to see what else is new.

Forgive me for being a bit thick, but can someone supply a sample .nfo file and what it should contain for this?

I've got a folder with about 200 .avi files (rip's from my dvd collection) and .png files for the covers (ie hancock.avi and hancock.avi.cover.png)

I'd like to use this plugin to show imdb info but am struggling with what is needed.
