[UPDATED] No Subtitles with Avisynth/Mencoder

Postby DragoZERO » Tue Jul 07, 2009 2:50 pm

My Computer: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.13 Ghz with 4 GB RAM on WinXP SP3

PMS Version: 1.10.51

Connection: WiFi with D-Link DIR-655 router

Problem: No Subtitles

Engines: avisynth/mencoder & audio high fidelity

Details: This problem just popped up out of no where. When I play an mkv file with one or more subtitle tracks nothing is played. I recently upgraded the PS3 software but I don't think that would effect it. I did change the settings on my codecs but the files play fine on the computer and after returning the settings to their previous configurations it didn't help. If I use Mencoder alone, the subtitles show but they are ugly and too big. I set the language subtitle track to use (eng) and it didn't help either. I didn't change any settings in Avisynth either.

Any help, please?

you need to configure Haali Splitter if you want to have subtitles with the AviSynth engine

I am pretty sure I configured that but will double check and try it again. Is it okay to just fill in the "Subtitle language priority" field alone?

Update: It was because Haali wasn't loading the VS Filter. So its been fixed, thanks. You can lock this now.
