Error DLNA 2006

Postby clenfant » Mon Jun 08, 2009 3:16 pm

Hi,

Still have this issue...
I have reinstall PMS, but no results...

I join the debug.log related to the following example of what happen :
I launch PSM, it appears on PS3.
I clic on it => "no document found"
go back, then re-clic on PSM icon => this time, the list of directories appreas.
chose one directory icon, clic on it => "error DLNA protocol (2006)".
:(
more strange :
after this, I decide to stop PSM, so I clic on "Exit" button, the PSM windows disapears.
Normaly, the PS3 display synchroneously a message saying "disconected from the media server" (or something like this).
But this time (and everytime error 2006 appears), nothing.
The PS3 still think she is connected to PSM.
After a while (maybe 5 min), PSM disapear from PS3.

Usually, I can manage to navigate into PSM directories from the PS3, but after a moment, navigation stop and error 2006 shows-up.
Same if I succed to launch a movie... after a moment, it stops, and error 2006.

Anykind of help, WELCOME ! :)

Hi,

having a look into the installation directory, I have discovered 4 error log files, I think it's about Java errors.
Don't know if this is related to the issue I have talk above, but who knows...

well... tried the release 339.. maybe it's even worse.
When lauched, the PSM can't find the PS3 (reverse is the same).

So, I let the two systems run;
Then after few minutes, the connection appears like magic.
(To be sure, I tried with the last release, in fact this is the same behavior).

I don't understand but it seems there is something that freeze something during a moment, periodicaly.
when a DNLA 2006 appears, I have to wait few minutes, then it works again;
when error 2006 appears and I stop PSM, I have to wait few minutes before the icone disapear from PS3.
error DNLA only appears when browsing directories, or viewing a movie that is not transcoded.
Don't know why, but if transcoded, the error never appreas (so, I fixe this by transcoding everything, but the directory navigation still be almost impossible).

Added : weird stuff, it seems it is the same if I reboot the PC :
I got the 2006 error, then I stop PSM, nothing happen on PS3 (ie the PSM was still displayed), so instead of wait, I decided to reboot de computer.
But during all the reboot, the PSM icone was still displayed on the PS3 !!
Is this normal ?
Have I an issue with my PS3, or my network ?
Btw, I'm using a FreeBox as router.

PS : I also tryed a new PSM.exe, with Java 64bits, but exact same behavior :(
