Check the file and folder permissions. I bet the file's security settings are such that your user account or group is not allowed to modify the file.

Has development stopped? It's been a while since there has been any updates.

Subtitles stopped working suddenly, they work on an older version... Wish they would fix the subtitles issue.

It seems like it has, but development continues with the fork of PMS, Universal Media Server.

the latest snapshot of ps3 media server runs fine. the only thing that it could use is a update to the engines once again and a release. but yeah it runs flawless for me.

ums is all bloatware, ps3 media server is stable and lightweight.

The only features we have implemented in UMS are ones that were requested by many users of PMS and UMS. We ran polls to find out what people wanted and then did it

ive tried ums a few times over the years but i just think its too much like plex now which contains a bunch of features i will never use. all you need to do is share the files and play the files, though you can hide most of it from showing, and can configure it to be and act almost like pms there is 1 thing that really bugged me and thats the server and video thumbnails (when video thumbnails are off i dont like them on) on ums they are white which on a black background look too bright in pms it has the black thumbnails and grey which look great on a black background on my bravia xmb you cannot change the background color of black nor would i want to when in a dark room having dark theme of pms looks better then a bright one of ums. i know its cosmetic but for me it really makes a difference.

as for the development of pms i update all the engines myself. but right now if the devs here need to do anything its just update the engines and release 1.90.2 for the other people that use it like i said because the updated engines run alot better then the one currently in the non snapshot build. (the snapshot builds did get a update to newer ones though compared to the last official build which could probably use a update again before 1.90.2 comes out).
