Im a long time user/fan. Just a heads up, in the help tab of the latest build it says "Transcode buffer maximum size
This value is about how much temporary space should be used for buffering a video before sending it to PS3. Default value is 400."

but......

Recommended value is shown as 200... and its set to that, I used 400 in the past without issue....

secondly I have a question regarding the installation dir of the x64 version, it installs in

C:\Program Files (x86)\PS3 Media Server\


why? if its a native x64 program why does it install here?

the default value was lowered awhile ago to 200 (to prevent some people with heapsize problems), you can just put in any value you want then click save then restart server.

the directory doesnt matter much they still run the same, it will get changed eventually or u can choose to install it to the right folder during setup.

Any plans to fix the systray icon on Linux? It's been looking like crap for a long time on the last few version of Ubuntu, Xubuntu and Linux Mint.

Also for Linux. Will the "official" PMS repo for Debian/Ubuntu be updated? The version on there is pretty old.

hi,
i'm a long time user of PMS. the last cersion that i had was PMS 1.72.0 and everything was running perfectly, but when i installed V 1.91.0 the MEncoder stopped working and evry other encoder in the Transcode section. the only thing that is working is the VLC plugin. can you please help with that?

Hi,

Just as an FYI, both 1.90.0 and 1.90.1 could no longer play .dvr-ms files using FFmpeg DVR_MS Remux. VLC played the files but not well. I've gone back to 1.81.0 for now.

Hi guys...
New to the board..
I just updated PMS to the newest version, along with a s tupid java update that kept popping on screen...
Problem is, that now, PMS does not recognize my playstation. Here´s the debug log.

@MadMakk Please follow the instructions for the 'After UDP broadcast' of this post
If you always wanted to have your most recent videos at the top of the folder in the ps3 or wished you could group all videos with the same genre in one folder, have a look at pms-mlx

I know I'm late to the party, but I finally got around to upgrading from 1.82.0 to 1.90.1 and I'm not happy so far. Not only are my carefully set up directories messed up when I view my media from a Samsung TV, but even worse, none of the cover art I painstakingly applied to all my music is showing up now. I have been forced to revert back to 1.82.0 to regain the functionality I had before.

What has changed that would mess things up this way?

just looking back through the commits this was added not sure if its the culprit but if a dev could look over this, it would seem this is the most likely cause. added at 1.90.0.
