Upgrade Notes:

For 1.70.0 and above:

• Just uninstall the older version and install the newer one.

For versions prior to 1.70.0:

• It is recommended to back up and remove your old PMS.conf and re-enter and save your settings (if any) in the GUI. Alternatively (e.g. if you have a large number of customizations you wish to preserve), see the upgrade notes for previous major releases (e.g. 1.50.0, 1.60.0 &c.) for migration instructions.

I downgraded to 1.60. Couldn't take the pain anymore with 1.70 and 1.72.

im going to revert back to an earlier version...only worked once with the latest version...and nothing since...doesn't even seem that its looking for the PS3. Have tried multiple versions of of configs and nothing...I can ping PS3 from computer through router...but media server can only find windos media player on computer its installed on. Lat version that worked no problem was 1.50 I think so may start there.

1.72 has problems, i used in on windows 7 & 8. PS3 media server 1.72 crashes my desktop and reboots it intermittently. First i thought problem is with Win8 and tested on Win7,...I am tired of troubleshooting and finally reverted to old version 1.60 that works fine.

Just wanted to say thanks and donate to all the people that worked on this project. I have for weeks gone though hell tryiung to get the media server from windows to work right and the one for my linkstation NAS.. all would show up without issues but none really played mkv's and other formats. Some would not even show the folder or title and most the times the files were all over the place.

A friend told me about you guys and just loaded it and bam.. works great. My mkv's work great. The only things that I have ran into so far was:

1) My photos take a long time to load up. I have the ps3 on the wifi, but at 100%. 720p vids run smooth so I dont know why pics would be an issue. I was going to try the power over ethernet thing to see if I can get closer to the 100mbs.

2) my iso do get converted to vob and play but the audio is off

Hey guys! This is a really great work.
I've been using the pms 1.72 in Debian amd64 testing and so far so good.
It would be great that you release a deb package for Debian. I've downloaded the 1.71 Ubuntu version but i had some depedency issues.

I'm playing 1080p/6channels mkv with my samsung D6500 very smoothly, but i can't see the thumbnails. If I use the pendrive, the Tv shows the thumbnails. I really don't know if it's a pms problem, so...
Another annoying thing is: if I have some external subtitle and a internal one, the TV always play the internal and if I have two internal subtitle I can't choose wich I want to play.
I think it might be a server improvement.
