Have you checked the subtitle file to see the order there? I'm not sure exactly, but I suspect that previous versions of MPlayer rendered the subtitles incorrectly and now it is doing it correctly, but it's possible that some subtitle files are created incorrectly in order to be used on the "incorrect" players. So maybe you can check your results against the subtitle file itself

I'm afraid I've already checked the same subtitles file and it apeared perfectly in order in 1.50.0 version.
I also checked other mkv files with other srt subtitles; all of which appeared correctly in 1.50.0, and incorrectly in 1.50.1

Thank you for taking this issue as a concern so far. I hope it could be fixed.

Thank you.

why is it every time you all release an update the pms plays less and less files. Videos Ive had forever that play fine will all of a sudden skip 10 min into the video and new files that play just fine on the xbox and using windows built in DLNA server, but with the ps3 say file is corrupted. 3 out of 5 videos that I get say they are corrupted when they play just fine on other DLNA servers. You all seem to be going backwards. Last release that I had 0 problems with was 1.40. Ive pretty much witched to xbox and my ps3 is collecting dust and not even being used because it doesn't play movies worth a crap anymore.

Complaining without reading the FAQ or posting the requisite information doesn't really help us help you.
I provide NO application support via PM, so please post your question to the forum.

Maybe if you could take a minute and appreciate the fact that there are people doing what they can and developing this best-of-its-kind software, and not charging you anything for using it, you'd mind your words a little more carefully and not sound like a spoiled brat. As meskibob says, if you provide useful information, there could be help for you :)

Hi,
First I would like to thanks the developers for the great job they are doing ,
last release (1.50.1) is stable !
I have same problem like the Arabic font as mention here, but I m using Hebrew.
Same problem, it display from left to right instead right to left (Arabic
and Hebrew are same from right to left). I m using cp1255 (Hebrew).
One more problem exist since 1.21.x , while mkv file is embedded subtitles (UTF-8)
I see garbage , all characters appears dots and underlines (like morse code).
Since 1.21.x I have to use only SRT files and can't use the build in subtitles.
I tried 1.20.412 and embedded subtitles in mkv is fine !

Which version of the PMS crashes? For me at 1.50.0 works fine. I use Shark codecs 3.3.8 and windows 7 Ultimate x64.

To all that are complaining of buffering/chopping issues...

I was experiencing this on my home network. I have a simple setup, wrt54g w/ ddwrt, using wireless g, pc w/ win7 64 ult. I couldnt figure out for the life of me what i was going on. I played around with different settings from the FAQ, some helped, but none fully resolved the issue. I narrowed it down to be a combo of torrent traffic, and wifi. Once i switched to using a cat5 cable and closing out utorrent while streaming, everything was flawless. This may sound obvious to some, but its just a friendly reminder to keep bandwidth in mind while streaming. ;)

sorry if this is a bit off topic, but i just wanted to throw that quick fix out there for anyone that was having the same issues as me.
